A Christmas Carol

Well, the post is not  about the play, but the image is pretty isn’t it?

During an international call i got some duress from my counterpart when she found out that I planned to stay home, eat and sleep. She  talked me about the true spirit of Christmas,  be with the friends, to be all together now in a fireplace,  got the eggnog and look for shooting stars in the skies.

I’ll have to say that I feel every year more like Ebenizer Scrooge.

Nah! that is not true!. I think that running around , having all the presents together, all the clothes, go to the mass, be back on time , got all the gifts, will not give you any time to think about Christmas.

In this country, is about traffic jams, jews selling and christians buying. About people playing “Amigo Secreto” in their workplaces, and about a lot of food this night. But also is time for reflection. For summing up what happened this year and what will happen next year.

Spirits will be present, the past will haunt  us , once again,  and for shure will make us cry.

Making due diligence, found a revealing article about Mr. Dickens.  He was not a happy fellow.  Seems to be that he came from incest to verbal abuse to their family and a constant haunting of a terrible childhood.  Also the story from the Times.
